SSU detains FSB spotter in Odesa guiding enemy strikes at port and National Guard facilities
In Odesa, the cyber units and investigators of the Security Service of Ukraine have detained another agent of russia’s federal security service. The traitor was preparing coordinates for russian missile and drone strikes on the regional centre.
The main ‘targets’ that the woman was reconnoitering on russia’s behalf were the locations of the Ukrainian National Guard, oil refineries, and port infrastructure.
The investigation revealed that the perpetrator is a sales representative of a local food company who had been recruited by the enemy.
The Odesa resident came to the attention of the russian intelligence services while looking for ‘easy’ money on Telegram.
After the recruitment via the messaging app, the asset communicated with the ruscists through a ‘liaison’ — an employee of one of the departments of the russian ministry of internal affairs in temporarily occupied Crimea.
The agent tracked locations where Ukrainian troops and military equipment were concentrated and marked them on Google Maps for a ‘report’ to the FSB.
Separately, she recorded locations of oil refineries and major logistics centres in the port of Odesa.
To maintain secrecy, she constantly changed public transport, photographing the locations of Ukrainian facilities through the windows using her mobile phone camera.
The SSU documented the suspect’s crimes and caught her when she was conducting reconnaissance near a potential target.
A smartphone containing evidence of her work for the FSB was seized during the arrest.
SSU investigators have notified the detainee of her status as a suspect under Article 111.2 of the CCU (high treason, committed under martial law).
The suspect is in custody without bail and faces life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
The operation was carried out by the SSU Office in Kyiv and the Kyiv Region under the procedural supervision of the Kyiv City Prosecutor’s Office.
