SSU detains enemy informants who adjusted missile attacks on Ukrainian positions in Donetsk and Bakhmut sectors
As a result of counter-sabotage efforts in the frontline areas of Donetsk region, the SSU exposed another three enemy accomplices.
The agents collected data on location and movement of Ukrainian Defence Forces in the region.
The collected intelligence was sent to russian occupiers through anonymous messenger apps as text messages with electronic coordinates and photos.
The invaders used the data to prepare and launch targeted rocket and artillery attacks on Ukrainian combat positions.
As a result of an operation, the SSU detained a resident of Novohrodivka on her attempt to pass to russians intelligence on deployment of Ukrainian troops in Donetsk sector.
To collect information, the woman walked around the area and then contacted a ‘DNR’ militant, member of russia’s 1st army corps.
After the russian missile strikes, she would go to the site and ‘report’ to ruscists on the results of the air strikes.
A resident of Druzhkivka was also detained for passing to the aggressor the approximate location of AFU units and their movement routes on Bakhmut direction.
Another enemy informant is a local resident who was providing the enemy with intelligence on routes of Ukrainian troops through several pro-russian Telegram channels.
All detainees had cell phones with evidence of communicating with the occupation forces.
SSU investigators notified the detainees of suspicion under the Article 114-2 of the CCU (unauthorized dissemination of information on transfer, movement of weapons and ammunition to Ukraine, movement, transfer or deployment of the AFU or other lawful military formations, committed under martial law).
Investigations are ongoing.
The SSU exposed the offenders jointly with the AFU’s 109th separate brigade of Territorial Defence under the procedural supervision of Donetsk Region Prosecutor’s Office.
