SSU detains traitor who prepared russia’s missile strike on SSU buildings and defence plant in Mykolaiv
The SSU Counterintelligence has detained another agent of russia’s FSB in Mykolaiv. He was preparing ruscists’ air attack on defence plants and the SSU Office in the region.
The investigation documented that the agent had provided the enemy with accurate coordinates of these targets and offered to hit them with russian Kinzhal missiles.
The spy also collected intelligence on locations and movements of other Defence Forces units in the frontline areas of the southern region.
Apart from that, he passed geolocation data of civilian infrastructure to the aggressor.
In case of successful completion of the ‘activities’, the FSB promised its asset money, which he hoped to receive to his bank card.
However, the SSU derailed the enemy’s plans – the agent was exposed and detained, his actions - documented. A mobile phone with evidence of communication with the FSB was seized.
According to the investigation, the spy is a local resident, recruited remotely by the russian special service at the beginning of the full-scale invasion.
He came to the aggressor’s attention due to his anti-Ukrainian comments in pro-kremlin Telegram channels and calls to launch a missile strike on military targets in Mykolaiv.
Based on the collected evidence, SSU investigators served the detainee a notice of suspicion under two Articles of the CCU:
- 111.2 (high treason committed under martial law);
- 15.2, 27.5, 28.2, 438.1 (completed attempt to commit aiding the violation of laws and customs of war).
The court has chosen custody as a measure of restraint for the traitor, who is facing life imprisonment. The investigation is ongoing.
The SSU Office in Mykolaiv region carried out the operation under the procedural supervision of the regional Prosecutor’s Office.
