SSU detains traitor who adjusted russian artillery strikes on Kherson
In Kherson, the SSU has detained another enemy spotter who adjusted artillery strikes on the city.
The perpetrator is a 34-year-old local resident who cooperated with the occupiers through a special chatbot of the russian intelligence.
The man wrote to the enemy himself and offered cooperation in exchange for money. The traitor’s task was to record the consequences of russian strikes on Kherson.
After the shelling, the agent went to the site of the hit and sent the location coordinates and information on the damage and the injured to the russian chatbot.
The occupiers used this intelligence to prepare further artillery attacks on Kherson.
During his reconnaissance raids, the enemy asset also monitored the locations of the Defence Forces and the approximate number of personnel at those sites.
These were the locations of checkpoints and strongholds of Ukrainian defenders on the riverbank in Kherson.
The SSU detained the agent near his home. During the search, a mobile phone with evidence of his crimes was seized.
SSU investigators have served the detained individual a notice of suspicion under Article 111.2 of the CCU (high treason, committed under martial law).
The suspect is in custody and faces life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
The operation was carried out by the SSU Office in Kherson region under the procedural supervision of the regional Prosecutor’s Office.
