SSU detains traitor who worked in kindergarten and adjusted missile strikes on Kharkiv
The SSU’s cyber units have detained another agent of russian intelligence who adjusted missile and drone strikes on Kharkiv.
The perpetrator is an employee of a local kindergarten. In her free time, she helped the ruscists to hit Ukraine’s Defence Forces bases in the city.
To direct enemy fire, the woman received geolocations of potential targets from the enemy and then conducted additional reconnaissance near them.
Being close to the site, she covertly observed it to establish the approximate number of personnel and military equipment.
The agent then transmitted the information via a messenger app to her russian handler as text messages with the coordinates on Google maps.
Using the asset’s ‘reports’, the occupiers were preparing air attacks with missile and Shahed-type kamikaze drones.
Due to the SSU’s prompt response, the enemy accomplice was identified at an early stage, and the crime was documented.
Measures were taken to secure Kharkiv defenders’ bases.
Then, the SSU apprehended the traitor at her home.
According to the investigation, the woman was recruited remotely by the russian intelligence in autumn 2023. She came to the invaders’ attention through her acquaintance from Kupiansk, who fled to russia during the occupation and joined the enemy forces.
During the searches of the suspect’s home, a mobile phone used by her to communicate with the aggressor was seized.
Based on the evidence, SSU investigators served the detainee a notice of suspicion under Article 111.2 of the CCU (high treason, committed under martial law).
The suspect is in custody and faces life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
The operation was carried out by the SSU Kharkiv Office under the procedural supervision of the regional Prosecutor’s Office.
