SSU detains former aide to terrorist Zakharchenko and Russian military servicemen who tried to capture South Ukraine Nuclear Power Plant (video)

The SSU continues to expose traitors and collaborators who gather intelligence, adjust the enemy’s missile strikes and carry out information sabotage against Ukraine.

Following SSU’s investigations, two individuals have been notified of suspicion of treason. The russian occupation forces appointed them to senior positions in the temporarily occupied Kherson. These are the ‘head of Kherson regional administration’ and the ‘head of Kherson city administration’.

In Dnipropetrovsk region:

The SSU located and detained an accomplice of the leaders of the so-called DNR, who was responsible for media promotion and information support of terrorists’ activities.

In 2016, she joined the ranks of illegal armed groups. There, she promoted militant groups and prepared ‘staged’ stories for kremlin propagandists, including about the arrival of so-called ‘humanitarian convoys’ from russia.

However, after the elimination of the former terrorist leader Zakharchenko, the aide left the militants’ ranks and was hiding for a long time.

In Mykolayiv region:

The SSU detained three Russian servicemen in Voznesensk district. The ruscists were hiding in abandoned buildings near the district center.

It was established that they were part of a group that participated in attempts to capture the South Ukraine Nuclear Power Plant.

As part of mortar units, the occupiers shelled the region, including densely populated areas.

Besides, the SSU found the enemy’s cache with anti-tank weapons near Mykolaiv. The site was set up by members of a russian reconnaissance and subversive group, who planned to commit sabotage in the regional center.

As a result of the search, the law enforcement seized Kornet anti-tank missile system and russian-made grenade launchers.

In Luhansk region:

The SSU exposed a head of a court in temporarily occupied Novoaydarsk on treason and assisting the occupiers.

The woman agreed to cooperate with the enemy for the promise of being promoted in the so-called ‘LNR judiciary authority’.

Instructed by the invaders, she campaigned among her subordinates for recognition of the occupation administration and called for ‘justice’ on behalf of the pseudo-state.

The SSU also documented the hand-over of classified information to the enemy on the work of Ukrainian judiciary and law enforcement agencies.

The traitor has been notified of suspicion of crimes. The investigation is underway.

In Kyiv region:

The names of a number of occupiers who committed atrocities in the temporarily occupied territories of Kyiv region have been identified.

Among others, these are the servicemen of the 15th Brigade of the Central Military District of russia. During their stay in the village of Bohdanivka, Brovary district, they abducted, abused and tortured Ukrainians.

Now, the SSU has not only evidence of their atrocities, but also specific names, surnames, ranks and positions of the occupiers responsible for crimes. All this will help bring the perpetrators to justice.

In addition, in Kyiv region, the SSU exposed another collaborator, a resident Demydiv, Vyshhorod district.

During the temporary occupation of the settlement, he helped to accommodate the invaders and set up enemy sniper and artillery positions in a residential area.

The collaborator also informed the enemy about Ukrainian depots and hidden arsenals of weapons and ammunition.

The SSU located and detained the collaborator. The items seized from him include:

  • a Kalashnikov assault rifle,
  • a sniper rifle,
  • an F-1 grenade,
  • a Makarov pistol and ammunition for small arms.

Upon all the revealed facts, the SSU is acting to establish and bring to justice all those involved in crimes against Ukraine.
