SSU detains russian agents who helped enemy carry out missile strikes on Donetsk railway

As a result of counter-sabotage efforts in eastern Ukraine, the SSU dismantled another russian intelligence network that carried out reconnaissance and subversive activity in Donetsk region.

The agents collected intelligence on the positions of Ukrainian troops and adjusted artillery fire on critical infrastructure.

The SSU exposed a manager of one of the local stations of Ukrzaliznytsia [Ukrainian railway] on collaboration with the enemy. The woman ‘leaked’ to the aggressors restricted information on the movement of Ukrainian Defence Forces in the region.

She sent the coordinates from her own accounts.

The occupiers planned to use the received intelligence to carry out a series of massive rocket attacks on railway infrastructure.

The railway employee was recruited by russian special services through her acquaintance – the so-called ‘member of DNR people’s council’.

The pre-trial investigation has been completed and the case has been sent to court.

Another russian agent was detained by the SSU Counterintelligence in Bakhmut. The traitor informed the invaders on location of Ukrainian troops near the front line.

He used an anonymous Telegram channel to pass geolocation data.

Two more enemy informants were detained when they were gathering intelligence on movement of Ukrainian troops in Bakhmut district and near Druzhkivka.

One of their ‘liaisons’ was a militant of the terrorist organization DNR, who is with the occupation forces in the East of Ukraine.

The agents have been notified of suspicion of committing a crime. The court has decided to keep them in custody.

The operations to neutralize russian agents were carried out by the SSU Office in Donetsk and Luhansk regions.

The SSU is making every effort to expose and bring to justice all traitors and collaborators.
