President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi emphasized that Spider Web is proof of what the Ukrainian security services and our state can achieve.
He thanked everyone who defends Ukraine’s interests.
‘We must constantly maintain focus on our state so that support does not diminish – both political support and, above all, support for our soldiers. We are grateful to them for defending Ukraine,’ said President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi at the ceremony.
‘This award is a great honour for me and for the entire Service! It will motivate us to new accomplishments. I want to thank all the personnel, our confidential humint network, and the President of Ukraine, with whom we have walked all this way side by side. To our enemies, I want to say that we have unique operational and combat experience. We have hundreds of unique operational plans in progress, and we will only stop when the occupiers cease their aggression and Ukraine achieves a fair peace,’ the SSU Head, Lieutenant General Vasyl Maliuk, remarked.
The SSU’s special operation Spider Web was carried out on 1 June 2025. As a result, special FPV drones destroyed 34% of all russian strategic aviation used by the enemy to strike Ukraine, russia’s total losses amounting to over USD 7 billion.
