This decision was made by the Eighth Administrative Court of Appeal of Lviv. The court has considered the appeal prepared on the basis of the Presidential Decree, the decision of the National Security and Defence Council and the SSU’s response to the threats to national security.

In May, pro-russian blogger Anatoliy Shariy was detained in Spain. The SSU suspects him of treason, in particular, of crimes under two articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine:

• 111 (Treason);
• 161 (Violation of equality of citizens depending on their race, nationality, religious beliefs, disability and other basis).

According to SSU investigators, Anatoliy Shariy carried out unlawful activities to the detriment of Ukraine’s national security in the information sphere. There is reason to believe that this person acted on behalf of foreign entities.
