The grounds for banning the party were the files submitted by the Security Service of Ukraine regarding the involvement of leading officials of the Opposition Platform - For Life political party in:

• destabilization of social and political situation in the country;
• dissemination of anti-Ukrainian propaganda to change the constitutional order by force, violate sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine;
• propaganda of war, violence.

The decision was made by the Eighth Administrative Court of Appeal of Lviv. The Court considered the appeal prepared on the basis of the Presidential Decree, the decision of the National Security and Defence Council and the relevant response of the SSU to the threats to national security.

In conditions of russia’s military aggression, the activity of this political force created real threats to national interests, security, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.

Representatives of Opposition Platform - For Life rebroadcast the official position of the aggressor state towards Ukraine, demonstratively supported and promoted russia’s aggressive anti-Ukrainian policy.

The SSU will continue to represent the interests of the state in such court cases so that the actions of individuals and parties that harm the security of Ukraine receive appropriate legal assessment.
