Three warships, fighter jet, air defence installations: SSU strikes key military targets in Crimea
Carrying out the tasks set by the President of Ukraine, last night the SSU Alfa conducted a successful special operation at the russian Black Sea fleet’s base in Sevastopol, as well as at the Belbek military airfield (Crimea, temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine).
As a result of the strikes by the Security Service’s drones, the following were hit:
- russian navy’s large landing ship Yamal
- russian navy’s large landing ship Filchenkov
- reconnaissance vessel Ivan Khurs
- russian Black Sea fleet’s Lukomka training centre
- the headquarters of the Air Defence Forces’ radio-technical reconnaissance unit
- an MR-10M1 Mys-M1 radar station;
- a MiG-31 aircraft at the Belbek airfield;
- the technical and maintenance unit at the Belbek airfield.
‘Every such operation follows a clear logic: we are methodically destroying key elements of the enemy’s military infrastructure - the navy, air force, reconnaissance and air defence. This entails not only direct losses of equipment, but also degrading the adversary’s ability to control the airspace, provide cover for its forces and plan new attacks. This work will continue until russia ceases its aggression against our state,’ said Acting Head of the SSU Yevheniy Khmara.
On 18 April, the SSU’s Alfa Special Operations Centre carried out another operation in the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, simultaneously striking three russian warships.
