In Cherkasy region, the Security Service of Ukraine identified an Internet agitator who called for incitement of inter-ethnic hatred.

Allegedly, a resident of Uman systematically posted calls for racial hatred in his Internet profile.

The offender posted discrimination articles about Jews, insulting their dignity. He also expressed a desire to depopulate this nation.

Prior expertise has shown that these materials include public calls for holocaust, full or partial extermination of ethnic or racial communities. Moreover, several posts foment inter-ethnic hostility.

During the search at the agitator’s residence, law enforcement officers found mobile phones and computers proving the unlawful activity.

Within the criminal proceedings initiated for violation of equality of citizens based on their race, nationality, religious preferences, disability and other features, investigation is ongoing in order to establish all the circumstances of the case and bring to justice all persons involved in the offence.

A pre-trial investigation is underway.

The operation was carried out jointly with the National Police under the procedural supervision of the Uman local Prosecutor's Office.
