At SSU’s initiative, court seizes UAH 2.1 bln of assets of Ukrainian companies belonging to russia’s Gazprom, Rosneft and Rosatom

Following an investigation by the SSU, court seized corporate rights and real estate of 11 enterprises, the ultimate beneficiaries of which are the russian state corporations Rosneft Oil Company, Rosatom and PJSC Gazprom.

The investigation established that part of the profits of these enterprises was used for the preparation and conducting of the aggressive war against Ukraine, as well as for financing the activities of sabotage and intelligence groups.

The estimated total value of corporate rights seized by the court exceeds UAH 2.1 bln (USD 58 mln). In addition to that, 46 pieces of their immovable property were seized.

Due to the timely seizure of these assets, it was possible to block the attempts of the actual owners to ‘re-register’ the entities to fictitious persons to keep control over them.

The SSU continues to investigate activities of these enterprises within the criminal proceedings initiated under Article 113.1 (sabotage) and Article 437.1 (planning, preparation, initiation and waging of an aggressive war) of the CCU.

The measures to withdraw the blocked assets in favour of Ukraine are underway.

The investigation was carried out by the SSU and the National Police under the procedural supervision of the Prosecutor General’s Office.
