At SSU’s initiative, court bans 12 pro-russian parties in Ukraine

Today, the Eighth Administrative Court of Appeal of Lviv ruled to ban another pro-russian political force - Progressive Socialist Party of Ukraine.

This decision was made basing on a Presidential decree, decision of the National Security and Defence Council and the SSU’s response to threats to Ukraine’s national security.

This party is added on the list of officially banned political entities that include:

  • Opposition Platform - For Life
  • Opposition bloc
  • Party of Shariy
  • OURS
  • Socialists
  • Left Opposition
  • Justice and Development Party
  • Derzhava (State)
  • Vladimir Saldo’s Bloc
  • Socialist Party of Ukraine
  • Union of Left Forces
  • Progressive Socialist Party of Ukraine.

Representatives of these political forces relayed russia’s official position regarding our state, supported and promoted anti-Ukrainian policy and posed a threat to Ukraine’s national security.

The SSU will continue to represent and defend the interests of the state in such court cases.
