Following SSU materials fsb spotter who guided russian missiles at Kharkiv via selfies faces 10-year prison sentence
Based on the evidence provided by the SSU, a fsb informant who corrected the ruscists' airstrikes in the Kharkiv region was sentenced to 10 years in prison.
In the summer of 2022, the perpetrator guided russian missiles at a local Ukrainian plant in the energy sector where she worked.
To correct the enemy attack, the woman took a photo of herself against the background of an industrial facility and sent it to the aggressor.
The russian informant also used selfies to direct air attacks on the positions of Ukrainian troops defending the regional centre.
To disguise her criminal actions, the defendant deleted files after each session of communication with the fsb and constantly changed the mobile phones.
However, the SSU officers exposed the perpetrator and arrested her as she prepared new coordinates for the fire attack.
The detainee's phone, which she used to coordinate air strikes in the region, was seized.
According to the investigation, the enemy accomplice came to the attention of the occupiers during her trip to moscow before the beginning of a full-scale invasion.
After 24 February 2022, a fsb representative contacted the woman remotely and offered her to cooperate.
Following the SSU investigation, the court found the offender guilty under Article 114-2.3 of the CCU (unauthorized dissemination of information on transfer, movement or location of the AFU or other lawful military formations, committed under martial law).
The investigation was conducted by the SSU Office in Kharkiv region under the procedural supervision of the regional Prosecutor's Office.
