Following SSU investigation, FSB informant who directed russian strikes on Kramatorsk area sentenced to 10 years in prison

Based on evidence collected by the Security Service of Ukraine, an enemy agent who was detained in early 2024 in Donetsk region has been convicted to prison.

The perpetrator adjusted russian air and artillery attacks on Kramatorsk direction.

During his arrest, a combat grenade was seized from him. The traitor had kept it, intending to use it against the law enforcement officers in case of exposure.

According to the investigation, the enemy’s tasks were carried out by a 47-year-old resident of Kramatorsk. The man came to the occupiers’ attention through an acquaintance, a woman from russia who cooperates with the aggressor’s special services.

After receiving instructions, he walked around the target area, tracking the concentrations of personnel and the locations of fortifications in the frontline community.

The informant first sent the collected data to his russian friend, a ‘liaison’ from the FSB, and then she reported to her handler.

He used an anonymous chat in a messenger app to communicate, sending the coordinates of Ukrainian objects in the form of marks on Google Maps.

Based on the evidence collected by the Security Service, the court found the accused guilty under two Articles of the CCU:

  • 114-2.3 (unauthorized dissemination of information on the movement, location or deployment of the AFU, committed under martial law);
  • 263.1 (illegal handling of weapons, ammunition or explosives).

Given the perpetrator’s cooperation with the investigation, the court sentenced him to 10 years in prison.

The investigation was carried out by the SSU Office in Donetsk and Luhansk regions under the procedural supervision of Donetsk Region Prosecutor’s Office.
