Following SSU’s investigation, collaborator who put up propaganda posters in ruscists’ support sentenced to 10 years in prison
Based on the evidence collected by the SSU, another traitor who collaborated with russian invaders during the occupation of Kharkiv region has been convicted to prison.
After Kupiansk district was captured, the man supported the ruscists and agreed to head the ‘administrative and economic support unit’ of the local russian occupation administration.
In this ‘position’, he was responsible for putting up billboards with propaganda posters in support of russian troops and the kremlin’s aggressive policy.
For this purpose, the ‘official’ provided lifting towers, trucks and bulldozers from the community’s municipal vehicle fleet.
He also organized the transportation of private property, stolen by russians in captured villages, to the aggressor state.
On the local gauleiter’s instructions, the perpetrator personally visited private households and agitated people to support the aggressor.
For this, he promised a one-off cash ‘reward’ of RUB 10,000.
The SSU detained the collaborator when he tried to escape to the temporarily occupied territory in eastern Ukraine in September 2022.
According to the investigation, the traitor is a 26-year-old resident of Shevchenkove village, who supported russia’s armed aggression against Ukraine after the full-scale invasion began.
Based on the evidence, the court found the accused guilty under Article 111-1.5 of the CCU (collaboration) and sentenced him to 10 years in prison with confiscation of property.
The investigation was conducted by the SSU Office in Kharkiv region under the procedural supervision of the regional Prosecutor’s Office.
