Following SSU investigation, Shariy’s and Medvedchuk’s lawyer sentenced in absentia to 10 years in prison

Based on evidence collected by the Security Service, Valentin Rybin, a collaborator who is part of russia’s occupation administration on the left bank of the Kherson region, has been sentenced in absentia to 10 years in prison.

He currently heads the so-called ‘organizational and legal department of the ministry of information policy of Kherson region of russian federation,’ which coordinates subversive activities of local kremlin mouthpieces.

Before the start of the full-scale war, the perpetrator was a lawyer for Viktor Medvedchuk and Anatoly Shariy, who recently received a 15-year prison sentence in absentia for treason.

Rybin then left the country and used his Facebook page to call on Ukrainians to lay down their arms before the russian invaders.

After a short stay outside Ukraine, the traitor came to the temporarily occupied part of Kherson region.

There, he received an offer from the local gauleiter Saldo to head the occupation authority for conducting information subversions against Ukraine.

After ‘appointment,’ the collaborator joined putin’s united russia party, on behalf of which he repeatedly called on local population to support the ruscists.

Based on evidence collected by the SSU, Rybin was found guilty under Article 111-1.5 of the CCU (collaboration).

The court also ordered confiscation of his property.

As the convict is hiding from prosecution in the temporarily occupied part of Ukraine, efforts to bring him to justice are underway.

The investigation was carried out by the SSU Office in Kherson region under the procedural supervision of the regional Prosecutor’s Office.
