Following SSU’s investigation, terrorist Strelkov’s personal informant sentenced to 10 years behind bars
The SSU has collected irrefutable evidence proving the guilt of another russian agent, who gathered intelligence on Ukrainian Defence Forces in Donetsk region.
The SSU detained him as a result of a special operation in the frontline areas in May this year.
Court has sentenced him to 10 years in prison.
According to the investigation, the offender is a personal informant of russian terrorist Strelkov-Girkin.
On his instructions, the enemy accomplice tried to identify locations and routes of Ukrainian troops near Sloviansk.
He also passed data on location of local government institutions and critical infrastructure facilities to the enemy.
The traitor contacted the former ‘DNR minister of defence’ through the banned social network Odnoklassniki after russia launched its full-scale invasion.
There, he offered Strelkov his ‘help’ in the war against Ukraine.
The agent passed intelligence from his own e-mail account in the form of marks on electronic maps with detailed descriptions of surrounding areas.
Following the SSU’s investigation, court found the offender guilty under the Article 114-2.3 of the CCU (unauthorized dissemination of information on transfer, movement of weapons and ammunition to Ukraine, movement, transfer or deployment of the AFU or other lawful military formations, committed under martial law).
The SSU emphasizes the inevitability of punishment for crimes against Ukraine.
The investigation was carried out by the SSU Office in Donetsk and Luhansk regions under the procedural supervision of the regional Prosecutor’s Office.
