Following SSU’s investigation, enemy informant who guided russian missiles at Kharkiv residential areas sentenced to 11 years in prison

Based on the evidence collected by the SSU, another informant of russian intelligence services, who adjusted the aggressor’s air attacks on Kharkiv, has been convicted.

Using her intelligence, the occupiers carried out missile attacks on Kharkiv’s residential areas.

The invaders also used coordinates provided by her and shelled local medical facilities and commercial establishments.

These attacks resulted in civilian casualties and destruction of residential and social infrastructure.

In this way, the enemy hoped to intimidate Kharkiv residents and cause panic.

The spy also tried to identify locations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the National Guard units deployed in the city.

The SSU Counterintelligence detained the aggressor’s informant in April 2022 in Kharkiv region.

Following the SSU’s investigation, the court sentenced her to 11 years in prison.

The offender is a local resident, recruited by the russian intelligence after the full-scale invasion.

For communication with the occupiers, the agent used popular messenger apps.

During the searches, the SSU found russian rubles and a mobile phone with evidence of the suspect’s reconnaissance and sabotage activities against Ukraine.

Based on the collected evidence, the court found the accused guilty under Article 114-2.3 of the CCU (unauthorized dissemination of information on shipment, movement of weapons, armaments and ammunition to Ukraine, movement, transfer or deployment of the AFU or other lawful military formations, committed under martial law).

The investigation was carried out by the SSU Office in Kharkiv region under the procedural supervision of the regional Prosecutor’s Office.
