Following SSU’s investigation, court sentences woman who adjusted russian missile strikes on Mykolaiv hospitals to 11 years in prison
Based on the evidence collected by the SSU, Zavodskyi District Court of Mykolaiv convicted an enemy informant to 11 years behind bars.
It was on her ‘information’ that the occupiers launched missile attacks on four infrastructure facilities in Mykolaiv, including hospitals.
The SSU detained the aggressor’s accomplice in the course of counter-sabotage activities in July 2022.
According to the investigation, the enemy agent is a local resident, a former employee of a defence company who supported russia’s full-scale invasion.
She actively spread pro-russian, destructive views in posts and comments in pro-kremlin Telegram channels.
In this way, the woman came to the attention of russian special services, which engaged her in cooperation through an administrator of one of the Internet communities.
On the enemy’s instructions, the woman collected information on location of military and critical infrastructure facilities in the region.
The data were transmitted to the aggressor as marks on electronic maps and georeferenced photos.
During the searches, the police found the mobile phone which the suspect used in the unlawful activity.
Based on the evidence, the court found the accused guilty under two Articles of the CCU:
- 114-2.3 (unauthorized dissemination of information on transfer, movement of weapons and ammunition to Ukraine, transfer, movement or deployment of the AFU or other lawful military formations, committed under martial law or a state of emergency);
- 436-2.2, 436-2.3 (justification, recognition as lawful, denial of russia’s armed aggression against Ukraine, glorification of its participants, committed by an official).
The SSU emphasizes the inevitability of punishment for crimes against Ukraine.
The SSU Office in Mykolaiv region carried out the investigation under the procedural supervision of the regional Prosecutor’s Office.
