Following SSU investigation, FSB informant, recruited by militant son, sentenced to 12 years in prison

Based on the evidence collected by the SSU, another FSB asset who adjusted enemy strikes on Ukrainian defenders in Donetsk region has been convicted to prison.

According to the investigation, she is a resident of Kostiantynivka who was recruited remotely by her son. He is a militant of russian occupation troops who cooperates with russia’s federal security service.

On his instructions, the woman spied on the locations of large concentrations of Ukrainian troops and military equipment on Kramatorsk direction.

The enemy was also interested in the coordinates of the combat positions of the Ukrainian rocket artillery, which fires at russian assault groups near Chasiv Yar.

The informant sent the collected intelligence to her son via a messenger app as marks on Google maps with detailed descriptions of potential targets.

Later, the occupiers used the data to prepare attacks on the region with guided aerial bombs.

The SSU apprehended the traitor in February 2024 in Sloviansk, where she moved under the guise of an internally displaced person to continue her reconnaissance activities.

To gather information, the agent walked around the area, covertly photographing the locations of Ukrainian troops and marking their coordinates.

During the searches of the suspect’s apartment, a mobile phone with evidence of fulfilling FSB’s tasks was seized.

After the SSU’s investigation, the court found the accused guilty under Article 111-1.7 of the CCU (providing assistance to the armed formations of the aggressor state in conducting warfare against the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other military formations).

Given her cooperation with the investigation, she was sentenced to 12 years in prison.

The investigation was carried out by the SSU Office in Donetsk and Luhansk regions under the procedural supervision of Donetsk Region Prosecutor’s Office.
