Following SSU’s investigation, another two traitors who fought against Ukrainian defenders near Avdiivka and Bakhmut sentenced to 12 years in prison
Based on the evidence collected by the SSU, another two militants who joined russian occupation troops and fought against Ukraine have been convicted to imprisonment.
They were captured by the AFU during fierce battles near Avdiivka and Bakhmut.
The court sentenced them to 12 years in prison, following an investigation by the SSU.
One of them was a militant with the call sign ‘KVN’, who joined the occupation groupings of russia’s Southern military district just before 24 February 2022.
The ‘soldier’ was enlisted in the 5th motorised rifle brigade and issued with a Kalashnikov assault rifle and ammunition.
At the beginning of the invasion, he was building enemy fortifications on Kherson and Mykolaiv directions.
Then, the traitor directly participated in warfare against the Defence Forces near Maryinka and Krasnohorivka, Donetsk region.
Another militant, call sign ‘Kondrat’, was a grenade launcher in one of the russian occupation units.
First, he equipped russian fortifications and checkpoints near Sievierodonetsk, Luhansk region.
Later, the ‘serviceman’ fired at Ukrainian combat positions near Klishchiyivka in Donetsk region.
Based on the evidence, the court found both accused guilty under Article 111.1 of the CCU (high treason committed under martial law).
The investigation was carried out by the SSU Office in Donetsk and Luhansk regions under the procedural supervision of Donetsk Region Prosecutor’s Office.
