Following SSU investigation, another traitor sentenced to 15 years in prison for helping ruscists attack Pokrovsk
Based on evidence collected by the Security Service of Ukraine, another enemy spotter has been convicted to 15 years in prison with confiscation of property. She was a member of an FSB agent group that was dismantled in September 2022 in Kramatorsk and Pokrovsk, Donetsk oblast.
The perpetrator is a 49-year-old local unemployed woman who adjusted russian missile strikes on the Defence Forces bases in the frontline region.
The investigation established that she came to the attention of the aggressor state through acquaintances who left the country after the full-scale invasion.
Recruited remotely, the agent acted separately from other members of the enemy cell and recorded the locations of Ukrainian troops during her trips around the area.
The spotter sent the collected data via messenger app as voice messages and photos to her FSB handler, who coordinated the intelligence and sabotage activities of the group.
A smartphone was seized from her containing evidence of her contacts with a handler from russian intelligence, to whom she passed the geolocations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Based on the SSU’s investigation, the court found the accused guilty under Article 111.1 of the CCU – high treason.
The investigation was carried out by the SSU Offices in Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk and Luhansk regions under the procedural supervision of the Donetsk Region Prosecutor’s Office.
