Following SSU investigation, another traitor who adjusted enemy strikes on Kramatorsk sentenced to 15 years in prison
Based on evidence collected by the Security Service of Ukraine, an agent of russia’s military intelligence, detained in Donetsk oblast in May this year, has been convicted to 15 years in prison with confiscation of property.
The investigation established that the woman passed information to enable the enemy to conduct air strikes on Kramatorsk using missiles, drones, and guided aerial bombs.
The traitor turned out to be a 45-year-old employee of a local utility company who was recruited by the occupiers through the banned social network Odnoklassniki.
To get her to cooperate, the GRU used a resident of the temporarily occupied part of the region. Subsequently, the russian military intelligence used him as a ‘liaison’ to pass on the collected data.
To carry out her tasks, the woman asked her husband about the locations of Ukrainian troops and conducted surveillance from the window of her home.
Primarily, she was gathering intelligence on the routes of military convoys and locations of the Defence Forces command posts.
Her smartphone, which she used to communicate with the aggressor, was seized during the search.
Following the SSU’s investigation, the court found the accused guilty under Article 111.2 of the CCU (high treason, committed under martial law).
The investigation was carried out by the SSU Office in Donetsk and Luhansk regions under the procedural supervision of Donetsk Regional Prosecutor’s Office.
