Following SSU investigation, another traitor sentenced to 15 years in prison for helping enemy target Kyiv with missiles

Based on evidence collected by the Security Service, another FSB agent, exposed in July 2022 for adjusting russian air strikes on Kyiv, has been convicted to 15 years in prison with confiscation of property.

The investigation established that the perpetrator was preparing coordinates for missile strikes on locations with high concentration of Ukrainian troops and law enforcement personnel.

She was also supposed to guide a series of enemy attacks on fire and rescue units in the aftermath of russian strikes on the capital.

The SSU identified the agent at an early stage of her intelligence gathering and detained her in Kyiv. A smartphone with evidence of acting on behalf of russia’s federal security service was seized during the search of her home.

According to the investigation, russia’s agent turned out to be a 63-year-old local resident. She came to the enemy’s attention through her husband, who lives in the temporarily occupied Crimea and cooperates with the FSB.

After a remote recruitment, the woman received a task from him to identify defence facilities, which the occupiers were preparing to target with a series of air strikes.

To gather intelligence, the agent visited various areas of the capital and secretly photographed potential sites on her smartphone camera, pretending to be speaking on the phone.

Upon returning home, she summarised the data and marked the coordinates of the locations on Google Maps for a further ‘report’ to the FSB.

Based on the SSU’s investigation, the court found the accused guilty under Article 111.2 of the CCU (high treason, committed under martial law).

Earlier, SSU investigators had notified the agent’s husband in absentia of suspicion.

The investigation was conducted by the SSU Office in Kyiv and Kyiv region under the procedural supervision of Kyiv City Prosecutor’s Office.
