Following SSU investigation, another traitor sentenced to 15 years in prison for guiding russian strikes on Sloviansk and Kramatorsk

Based on evidence collected by the Security Service of Ukraine, an agent of russian military intelligence (‘the GRU’), detained by the SSU in May 2025 in Donetsk oblast, has been sentenced to 15 years in prison with confiscation of property.

The investigation established that the perpetrator adjusted russia’s air strikes on Sloviansk and Kramatorsk. The targets that the enemy instructed her to scout were backup command posts of the Defence Forces fighting on the eastern front.

After receiving the coordinates from the agent, the occupiers prepared missile and drone strikes on them.

The traitor conducting reconnaissance on the enemy’s behalf was a 50-year-old employee of a local canteen frequented by Ukrainian military personnel.

The woman came to the GRU’s attention when she called for the capture of the entire region on Telegram.

After the recruitment, the agent used her phone camera to record the presence of military equipment in Sloviansk and near the city.

To do this, she travelled by public transport to frontline settlements, tracking the locations of Ukrainian military servicemen.

The collected information was sent to her russian handler as media files and text messages. The communication with him took place through a ‘liaison’ from russia, whose identity has been established by the SSU.

Smartphones containing evidence of intelligence gathering and contacts with russia were seized from the suspect during the searches.

Based on the Service’s investigation, the court found the accused guilty under Article 111.2 of the CCU (high treason, committed under martial law).

The investigation was carried out by the SSU Office in Chernivtsi region under the procedural supervision of the regional Prosecutor’s Office.
