Following SSU investigation, traitor who guided enemy strikes on Kharkiv sentenced to 15 years in prison

Based on the evidence collected by the SSU, another enemy agent, who operated in Kharkiv, has been convicted to 15 years in prison with confiscation of property.

The woman adjusted russian missile and bomb attacks on the city. The aggressor’s targets were staffs, reserve command posts and logistics hubs of the Defense Forces.

The SSU detained the perpetrator in early 2024 when she was preparing coordinates for russian strikes.

According to the investigation, the enemy spotter is a 36-year-old unemployed Kharkiv resident who posted pro-kremlin comments on Telegram channels.

On one of them, she was remotely recruited by one of russia’s intelligence services.

To collect geolocations, the asset walked or travelled by public transport around Kharkiv and its surroundings.

If she identified potential targets, she conducted additional reconnaissance near the object, taking photos of its perimeter and marking the coordinates on Google maps.

A mobile phone with an anonymous chat in the messenger app, used for communication with her russian handler, was seized during searches.

Based on the evidence, the court found the accused guilty of high treason committed under martial law (Article 111.2 of the CCU).

The investigation was carried out by the SSU Office in Kharkiv region under the procedural supervision of the regional Prosecutor’s Office.
