Following SSU’s investigation, FSB agent who prepared missile strikes on Vinnytsia sentenced to 15 years in prison

Based on the evidence collected by the SSU, an agent of russia’s FSB, who was preparing enemy air attacks on Vinnytsia in June this year, has been convicted to a prison term.

For several weeks, the man walked the city streets and covertly photographed locations of Ukraine’s Defence Forces and tracked their routes of movement.

In this way, he was trying to identify sites with largest concentrations of the AFU’s military equipment.

The russian asset also scouted the area around important industrial facilities to find out their level of security and technical condition.

The aggressor needed such intelligence to conduct targeted attacks on Vinnytsia using missiles and kamikaze drones.

However, the SSU worked proactively and apprehended the agent when he was performing an enemy assignment. This disrupted the invaders’ plans to conduct a series of air strikes on the city.

After the SSU’s investigation, the court sentenced the offender to 15 years in prison.

The traitor is a 30-year-old local resident who in russian social networks actively supported the armed aggression against Ukraine.

During the search, the SSU seized the suspect’s mobile phone, which he used for covert photographing of targets and communication with the FSB.

Based on the evidence, the court found the accused guilty of high treason committed under martial law (Article 111.2 of the CCU).

The investigation was conducted by the SSU Office in Vinnytsia oblast under the procedural supervision of the regional Prosecutor’s Office.
