Following SSU investigation, another traitor convicted to 15 years in prison for guiding russian glide bombs at Kostyantynivka

Based on evidence collected by the Security Service of Ukraine, an FSB agent who spied in Donetsk oblast has been sentenced to 15 years in prison. He was detained in May this year in Kostyantynivka while directing russian aerial bombs at the frontline town.

The investigation established that the perpetrator was a 23-year-old loader from a local market, recruited by the occupiers. He came to the attention of the russian special service because of his pro-kremlin comments on Telegram.

After remote recruitment, the agent began to walk around the area to identify and transmit the Defence Forces’ geolocations to his handler.

He also recorded the routes of Ukrainian armoured vehicle convoys heading towards logistics hubs and the front line.

When potential targets were identified, the traitor marked them on Google Maps and then took a screenshot of the image with a detailed description of the site and the surrounding area.

The SSU documented the agent’s crimes and detained him.

A smartphone, used to collect intelligence and coordinate actions with russia’s federal security service, was seized from the suspect.

Based on the evidence, the court found the accused guilty under Article 111.2 of the CCU (high treason, committed under martial law).

A few weeks ago, another FSB agent, an unemployed man from Kostiantynivka, was sentenced to 15 years in prison for adjusting the bombing of the city to help russians to break through Ukrainian defences.

The investigation was carried out by the SSU Office in Donetsk and Luhansk regions under the procedural supervision of Donetsk Region Prosecutor’s Office.
