Following SSU investigation, Ukrainian lawyer who worked for russia’s FSB sentenced to 15 years in prison

Based on the evidence collected by the Security Service of Ukraine and the Office of the Prosecutor General, a lawyer from Kyiv region who worked for russia’s federal security service has been convicted to 15 years in prison with confiscation of property.

The investigation established that, on enemy orders, he formed an agent network that collected information about officials of international organizations and volunteers in Kyiv, Dnipro and Odesa.

Together with his accomplices, the lawyer also adjusted russian missile strikes on defense plants and energy facilities in our country.

The SSU detained the perpetrator and his accomplices in January 2025.

During searches of the agents’ homes, the law enforcement seized 15 mobile phones, which the traitors used for covert communication with the FSB, as well as other evidence of their work for the enemy.

Based on the evidence collected by the SSU investigators, the accused was found guilty under Article 111.2 of the CCU (high treason, under martial law).

The investigation was carried out under the procedural supervision  of the Prosecutor General’s Office.
