Following SSU investigation, traitor who helped enemy bomb Kostyantynivka sentenced to 15 years in prison

Based on evidence collected by the Security Service, another FSB agent who adjusted russian air strikes in Donetsk oblast has been sentenced to 15 years in prison with confiscation of property. He guided russian aerial bombs at Kostyantynivka and its suburbs.

In this way, the agent helped the occupiers in numerous attempts to break through Ukrainian defences in this direction of the eastern front.

The SSU Counterintelligence detained him in May this year at his home. The perpetrator’s smartphone, which he used to communicate with russia’s federal security service, was seized during searches.

According to the investigation, the enemy accomplice is a 41-year-old local unemployed man who posted pro-kremlin comments on Telegram channels.

After remote recruitment, the agent began collecting geolocations for russian strikes on the frontline community.

The aggressor’s main targets were reserve command posts, repair bases and ammunition depots of the Defence Forces.

To gather intelligence, the man walked around the area, marking the locations of Ukrainian troops on Google Maps.

He also elicited information he needed during casual conversations with acquaintances living near the front line.

Based on evidence collected by the SSU, the court found the accused guilty under Article 111.2 of the CCU (high treason, committed under martial law).

The investigation was carried out by the SSU Office in Donetsk and Luhansk regions under the procedural supervision of Donetsk Region Prosecutor’s Office.
