Following SSU’s investigation, traitor who led over 120 pieces of occupiers’ military equipment to Kyiv suburbs sentenced to 15 years in prison (video)

Based on the evidence collected by the SSU, the court has convicted another FSB agent to prison. In the first days of russia’s full-scale invasion, he drove his car to guide 128 pieces of russian military equipment from Sumy region to Kyiv’s outskirts.

Among them were tanks, armoured personnel carriers and self-propelled artillery systems.

This military equipment was part of ‘advanced’ units of russia’s occupation groupings, which were tasked to storm the capital from the north-east.

During the warfare, this enemy convoy was destroyed by Ukrainian defenders.

The enemy agent himself, after ‘escorting’ the occupiers, returned to Sumy oblast and continued to work for the FSB even after the liberation of the region.

On the russian service’s instructions, he collected intelligence on deployment and weapons of Ukrainian Defence Forces in the area.

The SSU Counterintelligence detained the traitor as a result of a special operation in August 2022. The SSU seized the mobile phone he used to communicate with the FSB.

According to the investigation, the enemy accomplice is a local resident, recruited by the russian intelligence just before the full-scale invasion.  One of his main tasks was to ensure ‘navigation’ of the aggressor’s military convoys along the shortest routes to Kyiv.

Following the SSU’s investigation, the court found the accused guilty under Articles 111.1, 111.2 of the CCU (high treason) and sentenced to 15 years in prison.

The investigation was conducted under the procedural supervision of Sumy Region Prosecutor’s Office.
