Following SSU investigation, traitor who leaked passwords for checkpoints in Dnipropetrovsk region to FSB sentenced to 15 years in prison
Based on the evidence collected by the SSU, another FSB agent, who operated in Dnipropetrovsk region, has been convicted to prison.
The traitor is a 31-year-old resident of Yurievskyi district, who at the beginning of the full-scale invasion worked in a local unit of the State Emergency Service.
In the spring of 2022, he passed several passwords and instructions on how to cross checkpoints during the curfew to the russian special service.
The perpetrator also spied on the areas of large concentration of personnel and military equipment of Ukraine’s Defence Forces.
The occupiers needed the intelligence to plan combat operations, including those involving sabotage and reconnaissance groups.
The SSU Counterintelligence detained the traitor in March 2022.
The court sentenced him to 15 years in prison with confiscation of property.
According to the investigation, the former official contacted the FSB on his own initiative through the pro-kremlin blogger Yuriy Podoliaka, with whom he communicated on his Telegram channel.
After remote recruitment, the enemy propagandist acted as a ‘liaison’ between the agent and his handler, an FSB officer.
For communication, the asset created a fake account, which he used in an anonymous chat in a messenger app.
During the search, the SSU seized mobile phones with evidence of his reconnaissance and sabotage against Ukraine.
Based on the SSU’s investigation, the court found the accused guilty under Article 111.2 of the CCU (high treason, committed under martial law).
The investigation was carried out by the SSU Office in Dnipropetrovsk region under the procedural supervision of the regional Prosecutor’s Office.
