Based on the evidence collected by the SSU, the court convicted in absentia another 52 deputies of russia’s state duma, who contributed to unleashing of a full-scale aggression against Ukraine.

On 15 February 2022, these officials supported a resolution to appeal to putin to recognize the ‘independence’ of the temporarily occupied districts of Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts.

On 22 February 2022, they voted to ratify the ‘treaty of friendship, cooperation and mutual assistance’ between the kremlin and the terrorist organizations ‘L/DNR’.

Subsequently, russia’s top military and political leadership used this decision as a formal basis for launching a full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

Based on the evidence collected, the court found the members of russian parliament guilty under Article 110.3 of the CCU (encroachment on Ukraine’s territorial integrity and inviolability) and sentenced them in absentia to 15 years in prison.

Indictments against another 23 russian MPs have been sent to court.

The offenders are in the aggressor state; comprehensive efforts are underway to bring them to justice.

The investigation was carried out by the SSU Offices in Ivano-Frankivsk and Vinnytsia regions under the procedural supervision of regional prosecutors’ offices.
