SSU materials help to sentence spotter of russian strikes on power facilities in Donetsk region

Due to evidence gathered by the SSU, another informant who adjusted russian air strikes in Donetsk region is imprisoned.

Following criminal’s tip-off, the racists conducted a series of rocket attacks on the region, injuring at least 20 civilians.

It was established that the informant provided coordinates of local social and critical infrastructure facilities, including power generating enterprises.

She also informed the aggressor about the locations of the Defense Forces and movement of units in Bakhmut and Avdiivka directions.

The enemy was particularly interested in the locations of fortifications and logistics bases of Ukrainian troops in the Dobropillia area.

SSU CI officers detained the offender red-handed in February this year when she was passing intelligence to the aggressor.

Taking into account cooperation with the investigation, the court sentenced the woman to 7 years in prison.

According to the investigation, the informant is a local resident who was recruited by the russian special service after the start of the full-scale russian invasion.

She passed the collected intelligence to her "liaison", a member of the dnr terrorist organization, through an accomplice. They used one of the popular messengers for communication.

Based on the SSU materials, the court found the informant guilty under Part 2 of Art. 114-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (dissemination of information on the deployment, movement or location of the Armed Forces or other military formations).

The SSU Office in Donetsk and Luhansk regions carried out the counter-sabotage activities under the procedural supervision of Donetsk Region Prosecutor’s Office.
