Following SSU’s investigation, court seizes UAH 1 bln worth of Marchenko’s assets in Ukrainian metallurgical giant

Following the SSU’s investigation, the court seized corporate rights of Oksana Marchenko in Zaporizhzhia Ferroalloy Plant JSC.

The total value of the blocked assets is over UAH 1 bln (USD 26.2 mln).

The court’s decision pertains to 13.7% of the enterprises’ shares, which Medvedchuk’s wife owns through four offshore companies.

Zaporizhzhia Ferroalloy Plant is a monopoly producer of metallic manganese in Ukraine and is among the largest metallurgical companies in Europe.

The seizure of the assets will protect them from being sold or re-registered to shell companies and will make it possible to transfer them to Ukraine in the future.

Earlier, the SSU helped seize Oksana Marchenko’s property worth over UAH 6 bln (USD 158 mln).

The activities were carried out within the criminal proceedings: Medvedchuk’s wife is suspected of financing russian occupation groupings.

In February 2023, the SSU served Marchenko a notice of suspicion under Article 110-2.3 of the CCU (financing actions committed with the aim of forcible change or overthrow of the constitutional order or seizure of state power, change of boundaries of the territory or state border of Ukraine).

The investigation is ongoing to establish all the circumstances of the crime and bring the perpetrators to justice.

The SSU Office in Ivano-Frankivsk region carried out the investigation under the procedural supervision of the regional Prosecutor’s Office.
