Following SSU’s investigation, court seizes ‘hidden’ assets of Medvedchuk’s wife worth UAH 440 mln
Following the SSU’s investigation, the court seized more assets of Oksana Marchenko, suspected of financing russian occupation forces.
The assets’ total value is over UAH 440 mln (USD 11.4 mln).
The court’s decision pertains to 6.8% of the shares in PJSC A.M. Kuzmin ‘Dneprospetsstal’ Electrometallurgical Plant in Zaporizhzhia, which Marchenko owns through three offshore companies.
This strategic enterprise specializes in industrial production of almost 1,000 types of steel and metal products.
The seizure of the assets will protect them from being re-registered to fictitious entities and will allow to transfer them to the state in the future.
In late February 2023, basing on the SSU’s investigation, the court seized Marchenko’s property worth over UAH 5.6 bln (USD 145 mln).
The SSU has already notified Medvedchuk’s wife of suspicion under the Article 110-2.3 of the CCU (financing actions committed with the purpose of forcible change or overthrow of constitutional order or seizure of state power, change of boundaries of the territory or state border of Ukraine). The investigation is ongoing.
The SSU Office in Ivano-Frankivsk region is investigating the proceeding under the supervision of the regional Prosecutor’s Office.
