Following SSU’s investigation, court sentences 4 collaborators, who adjusted strikes on Ukrainian schools and hospitals, to 12 years in prison
The SSU has collected undeniable evidence proving the guilt of another four members of russian intelligence networks.
The agents collected intelligence on deployment of the Defence Forces and condition of energy facilities in Kyiv and Donetsk region.
The informants were interested in location of Ukrainian troops in the capital region as well as on Lyman and Avdiivka directions.
Occupiers needed the intelligence to prepare and carry out targeted missile attacks on Ukrainian cities.
As a result of the enemy strikes, russian missiles hit social facilities, including schools and hospitals in eastern Ukraine.
The SSU detained enemy accomplices during special operations in Kyiv and Donetsk regions.
Based on the SSU’s investigations, the court sentenced them to 8 to 12 years in prison.
One of the convicts is a collaborator who tried to identify and pass coordinates of HIMARS combat positions to the aggressor.
Another criminal was detained in the de-occupied Lyman. It was on his tip that the occupiers shelled the local trauma hospital and a school.
One more spy was detained in Kyiv. After the start of the full-scale invasion, the woman identified locations of the AFU in the capital and sent the data to the invaders through a secure Telegram channel.
The court also convicted a resident of Pokrovsk for passing information to russian intelligence services on the movement of Ukrainian military equipment.
Based on the evidence collected, the accused were found guilty under the two Articles of the CCU:
- 111-1.7 (collaboration);
- 114-2.3 (unauthorized dissemination of information on transfer, movement of weapons and ammunition to Ukraine, movement, transfer or deployment of the AFU or other lawful military formations, committed under martial law).
The SSU emphasizes the inevitability of punishment for crimes against Ukraine.
The SSU conducted the investigations under the procedural supervision of the Prosecutor’s Office.
