Following SSU’s investigation, traitor who guided russian missiles at Zaporizhzhia defence plant convicted to life imprisonment
Based on the evidence collected by the SSU, the court has convicted an FSB agent who adjusted russian missile strikes on military and critical infrastructure of Zaporizhzhia to life imprisonment.
The SSU Counterintelligence detained him as a result of a special operation in the region’s frontline territory in November 2022.
The traitor is an employee of a local defence enterprise who guided russian missiles at the plant’s production facilities.
He has also adjusted a series of aggressor’s air attacks on the local energy facilities.
After the strikes, the enemy agent would go to the area to record the consequences of the hits and ‘reported’ on them to the occupiers.
The investigation established that the spy had been recruited by the russian special service after the start of the full-scale invasion.
The intelligence was passed to invaders in the form of electronic coordinates and georeferenced photos of Ukrainian targets.
During the searches at the suspect’s home, the SSU seized a mobile phone and computer equipment used for reconnaissance and sabotage against russia.
Based on the SSU’s evidence, the court found the accused guilty under Article 111.2 of the CCU (high treason committed under martial law).
The SSU Zaporizhzhia Office carried out the investigation under the procedural supervision of the regional Prosecutor’s Office.
