Following SSU investigation, FSB agent who adjusted russian strikes on residential areas in Donetsk region convicted to life imprisonment
Based on evidence collected by the Security Service, an agent of russia’s federal security service who adjusted combined attacks on Donetsk region received a life sentence with confiscation of property.
Based on her coordinates, russian troops carried out an artillery strike on a residential sector of the currently occupied Kurakhivka on Pokrovsk direction in the autumn of 2023.
As a result of the shelling, a civilian resident of the village was killed, and two others were wounded to varying degrees.
According to the investigation, the strike was adjusted by a local unemployed woman recruited by the FSB through her son, a militant in the armed groupings of russia’s Southern military district.
In an anonymous chat, she passed the coordinates of Ukrainian installations to her son, and he then passed them on to the handler.
The SSU Counterintelligence detained the traitor in October 2023.
A smartphone with evidence of her work for the occupiers was seized during the search.
Based on the evidence collected by Security Service investigators, the court found the accused guilty under Article 111.2 of the CCU (high treason, committed under martial law) and imposed the maximum penalty.
The investigation was carried out by the SSU Office in Donetsk and Luhansk regions under the procedural supervision of Donetsk Region Prosecutor’s Office.
