Due to the SBU records, the former head of the State Food and Grain Corporation of Ukraine was served suspicion notice of misappropriation of funds.

Allegedly, the official, being a British citizen, set up asset misappropriation scheme of the state corporation. The state suffered losses of over UAH 9 m. (USD 321, 429).

The ex-officer was suspected of misappropriation or conversion of property by malversation.

Investigation is ongoing to establish all the circumstances of the case and bring other involved persons to justice.

The operation was carried out by the SBU Main Department of Counterintelligence Protection of the State's Economic Interests jointly with the Investigative Department of the Major Taxpayers’ Office of the SFS under the procedural supervision of the Prosecutor General's Office.
