Following SSU’s investigation, Aksyonov’s associate declared suspect for recruiting Crimean schoolchildren to russian Yunarmiya
The SSU has documented criminal activity of the traitor Olena Romanovska, ‘deputy head’ of the occupation ‘government of Crimea’.
In her ‘position’, she is fulfilling the kremlin’s instructions to force Crimean schoolchildren to join the russian military organisation Yunarmiya [young army].
In this formation, the ideology of ruscism is imposed on the younger generation and attempts are made to ‘instil’ hatred of Ukraine.
russian instructors teach combat tactics to Yunarmiya members, conduct firearms, sabotage and reconnaissance training, and generally prepare students for war against our country.
By the end of 2024, the invaders plan to include every 10th child and teenager from the Crimea in this organization.
To fulfil moscow’s ‘orders’, Romanovska gives direct instructions to local school principals to force students to join the aggressor’s military formation.
If parents refuse, the school directors and teachers threaten to ‘inform’ russian punitive authorities in the Crimea.
According to the investigation, until March 2014, Romanovska held various positions in the office of the Supreme Council of Crimea. However, when it was seized, she supported the russian invaders.
Subsequently, she was appointed to the local occupation administration under gauleiter Aksyonov’s leadership and now heads the so-called ‘ministry of labour and social policy’.
Romanovska publicly supports russia’s armed aggression against Ukraine and glorifies the occupiers. For this purpose, she has on many occasions participated in ‘unveiling of memorial plaques’ to fallen ruscists in the Crimea.
Based on the evidence, SSU investigators notified Romanovska of suspicion under Article 111.1 of the CCU (high treason).
The perpetrator is in the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine. Efforts are underway to bring her to justice. She faces up to 15 years in prison.
The investigation was carried out by the SSU Main Office in the Autonomous Republic of the Crimea under the procedural supervision of the Prosecutor’s Office.
