Following SSU’s investigation, Kherson oil traders declared suspects: during occupation they, under FSB’s ‘protection’, refueled russian tanks

Following an investigation by the SSU and the National Police, heads of a Kherson oil trading company, who are helping russia to establish the occupation regime in the temporarily occupied part of southern Ukraine, have been notified of suspicion.

According to the investigation, the director and the accountant started cooperating with the FSB at the beginning of the full-scale invasion.

Under the ‘protection’ of the russian service, they set up wholesale supplies of diesel and petrol from the temporarily occupied Crimea for the invaders.

After transporting the fuel from the Ukrainian peninsula to Kherson, the company refueled enemy military equipment, including tanks and armoured vehicles fighting on the southern front.

For this purpose, the collaborators used their own petrol station in Kherson.

In this way, over 300 tons of fuel worth more than UAH 20 mln were supplied to the occupiers.

The traitors ‘re-registered’ their company under russian ‘legislation’ and opened ruble accounts in a moscow bank.

They also forced the company’s employees to obtain russian passports. In case the workers refused, they threatened them with dismissal and ‘informing’ russian punitive authorities.

During the liberation of Kherson, both suspects fled with the russian military to the temporarily occupied part of the region.

During the searches at the enterprise, the SSU found computers, accounting documents and records confirming the crimes.

Based on the evidence collected, the company officials were notified of suspicion in absentia under Articles 28.2, 111-1.4 of the CCU (collaboration, committed by a group upon prior conspiracy).

As both suspects are hiding in the temporarily occupied territory, efforts are ongoing to detain them.

The investigation was carried out by the SSU Office in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea jointly with the National Police under the procedural supervision of Kherson Region Prosecutor’s Office.
