Based on the evidence collected by the investigators of the Security Service of Ukraine, three enemy agents who directed missile, bomb and drone strikes on the Donetsk region have each been sentenced to 15 years’ imprisonment.

One of the convicted is an employee of a local Defence Forces repair base who had been recruited by the enemy; he was detained by the SSU in April 2025 in the Kramatorsk sector.

The investigation revealed that the man came to the attention of the russian intelligence services through his brother, who lives in russia and works for the FSB.

Whilst on duty at the defence enterprise, the traitor recorded the geolocations of the repair workshops that restored combat capabilities of Ukrainian heavy armoured vehicles.

The agent attempted to send the photographs, together with the coordinates of the buildings, to his handler in russia via an anonymous chat in a messaging app.

The other convict is an agent of the russian military intelligence (‘the GRU’), whom the SSU Counterintelligence detained near Pokrovsk in March this year.

The enemy’s task was carried out by an unemployed man from Dobropillia, who was spotted by the aggressor state due to anti-Ukrainian comments in Telegram channel chat rooms.

Evidence indicates that the agent provided targeting data for 1.5-tonne guided aerial bombs against fortified positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which currently maintain fire control over russian assault detachments in the Pokrovsk direction.

A resident of Kostiantynivka, who had been recruited by the FSB and was exposed by the SSU Military Counterintelligence in August 2025, has also been sentenced to a prison term.

He made contact with russian intelligence services via pro-kremlin Telegram channels and offered them his assistance.

The traitor guided russian guided aerial bombs and FPV drones towards civilian infrastructure in a frontline town.

Among other things, he tracked the positions of Ukrainian tactical UAV groups carrying out combat missions in the Kramatorsk sector.

The SSU detained the enemy agents at an early stage and helped prevent strikes on the positions of our defenders.

Based on the evidence, the court found all three perpetrators guilty under Article 111.2 of the CCU (high treason, committed under martial law).

The investigation was carried out by the SSU Office in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions under the procedural supervision of the Donetsk Regional Prosecutor’s Office.
