Based on the evidence collected by the SSU, ten enemy accomplices who fought against Ukraine’s Defense Forces on the eastern front have been convicted to imprisonment.

In August and December 2024, Ukrainian defenders captured these militants during battles in on Pokrovsk, Siversk and Novopavlivka directions.

The court has now sentenced them to 15 years in prison with confiscation of property.

The convicted individuals are residents of the temporarily occupied districts of Donetsk and Luhansk regions who voluntarily joined russia’s Southern military district.

Three of them are residents of Donetsk oblast who, as part of russia’s 91^st rifle regiment, took part in the seizure of the left bank of Kherson region. They set up firing positions and evacuated wounded ruscists from the battlefield.

Later, the traitors stormed the villages of Mykilske and Novoukrainka and during a fierce battle near Kurakhove were captured.

Another militant is a resident of Horlivka who, as a rifleman in the aggressor’s 132^nd motorized rifle brigade, fired at Ukrainian positions near Zaitseve and Dachne villages.

Another perpetrator was in the 88^th regiment of the russian armed forces and took part in the so-called human wave assaults near Pokrovsk, where he was later captured as the only survivor.

Four more traitors have been sentenced for attacking the positions of Ukrainian units near the villages of Zelenivka and Kostiantynopil.

The tenth militant served in russia’s 123^rd motorized rifle brigade and fired Grad multiple rocket launcher systems at the AFU positions near Berestove.

Based on the evidence collected, the court found the accused guilty under two Articles of the CCU:

• 111.1, 111.2 (high treason, committed under martial law);
• 111-1.7 (collaboration).

The investigations were carried out by the SSU Office in Donetsk and Luhansk regions under the procedural supervision of Donetsk Region Prosecutor’s Office.
