The Security Service of Ukraine, under the procedural guidance of the Prosecutor General’s Office, referred an indictment against the Russian intelligence officer to the court.

It is a case of an official of the 316th Intelligence Center of the Main Directorate of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Russia. This person is accused of inciting a former employee of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to commit high treason in 2018.

In 2019, the said employee of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was convicted of high treason and sentenced to 5 years in prison.
