Following SSU’s investigation, notice of suspicion served to Medvedchuk’s associate, former TV host and leader of banned pro-russian party

The SSU has collected evidence against collaborator Maksym Goldarb, former host of Medvedchuk’s TV channels and leader of the Union of left forces political party, banned in Ukraine.

With the onset of russia’s full-scale invasion, he left Kyiv and publicly supported the armed aggression against Ukraine.

Goldarb published pro-kremlin posts on his Telegram and YouTube channels with a 140,000-strong audience.

In these materials, he disseminated fake information on Ukraine’s top military and political leadership and misinformed about the internal situation in our country.

Former TV host also spread ‘insights’ he invented about ‘plans’ of several European states to ‘annex’ territory in western Ukraine.

On many occasions, he participated in ‘teleconferences’ with russian propagandists, who prepared staged stories for TV channels of the temporarily occupied Crimea and russian talk shows.

The SSU-initiated examination confirmed his crimes.

Based on the evidence, Maksym Goldarb has been notified of suspicion under two Articles of the CCU:

  • 111-1.6 (collaboration);
  • 436-2.2, 436-2.3 (justification, recognition as legitimate, denial of russia’s armed aggression against Ukraine, glorification of its participants).

The suspect is hiding from justice. Comprehensive efforts are underway to bring him to prosecution for crimes against Ukraine.

The SSU carried out the investigation under the procedural supervision of Kyiv City Prosecutor’s Office.
