The SSU has gathered irrefutable evidence of guilt of 41 russian state duma members who facilitated the seizure of part of Ukraine’s eastern regions.

On February 15, 2022, they supported the resolution to appeal to the russian president asking to recognize the ‘independence’ of the occupied districts of Donetsk and Luhansk regions.

A week later, they voted to ratify the ‘agreement on friendship, cooperation and mutual assistance’ between the aggressor state and the terrorist organizations of the ‘L/DNR’.

In this way, these officials contributed to the implementation of the kremlin’s plan to capture Ukraine.

Based on the collected evidence, SSU investigators notified the russian MPs of suspicion under the Article 110.3 of the CCU (encroachment on Ukraine’s territorial integrity and inviolability). Indictments have been forwarded to the court.

The offenders are facing up to 15 years in prison or life imprisonment with confiscation of property.

Last month, the SSU also submitted indictments against another 55 members of the russian state duma. The law enforcement agencies are acting to bring them to justice for crimes against Ukraine.

The investigation was carried out by the SSU Offices in Vinnytsia, Ivano-Frankivsk and Ternopil regions under the procedural supervision of the Prosecutor’s Office.
