SSU and National Police identify three ruscists who abducted ATO veteran during Izium occupation
The Security Service of Ukraine and the National Police have identified another three russian war criminals who kidnapped people during the occupation of part of Kharkiv region at the beginning of the full-scale war.
According to the investigation, the perpetrators are:
- Airat Azimshin, platoon commander of russia’s 6th separate tank brigade;
- Safaral Andrianov, deputy platoon commander of russia’s 6th separate tank brigade;
- Aslanbek Kabardov, commander of the automotive unit of the 26th tank regiment of the russian armed forces.
The three russian servicemen were members of the russian occupation grouping that took part in the seizure of the village of Ivanchukivka in Izium district.
While in the temporarily occupied community, they took part in mass repressions against local population.
In early April 2022, the above stated individuals broke into the private home of a former participant of the Anti-Terrorist Operation.
Then, the perpetrators dragged the 57-year-old victim into the yard, tied him up and demanded the firearm he supposedly had.
Using this as a ‘pretext to clarify the circumstances’, the ruscists imprisoned the man in a torture chamber in the temporarily occupied area. Later, the victim was taken to a prison in russia, where he was tortured to death.
Based on the SSU’s investigation, all three persons involved have been served suspicion notices in absentia under Articles 28.2 and 438.1 of the CCU (violation of laws and customs of war, committed by a group, upon prior conspiracy).
Efforts are underway to bring each occupier to justice for crimes against our country.
The investigation was carried out by the SSU Office in Kharkiv region jointly with the National Police investigators under the procedural supervision of the regional Prosecutor’s Office.
